Around 10 a.m. Thursday morning, a 911 call directed police to Lewis-Seifert Road across from Stoneybrook Drive.

β€œWhen the call came in, the caller gave us a good idea, basically in the area of the trailer park which is across the street, Stoneybook Trailer Park. They gave us a good idea where to come,” Tarr said.

Tarr confirmed that the victim is a woman. She had been shot and police would not reveal her age, name or where she had been shot. Two cars were on the scene.

Police were able to talk with another woman who had been there in one of the cars but was not shot.

β€œWe do have some leads that we’re working on,” Tarr said.

Within two hours, Douglas showed up at the Youngstown Police Department and ended up being detained. A couple of police officers were sent to Youngstown to question Douglas about his connection to this case.

Ohio BCI and the Trumbull County Homicide Task Force are assisting with the investigation.
