Two pedestrians were killed in separate hit-and-run incidents in recent days, one in Whittier on Friday, Dec. 31, and the other in Santa Fe Springs a day earlier, police said.

Whittier police who responded to both cases seek the public’s help to find two vehicles they say hit a woman just before 6:45 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30.

β€œAfter striking a pedestrian, the two vehicles were last seen leaving the area of Parkmead St and Pioneer Blvd in the City of Santa Fe Springs,” a post on social media reads.

The woman, Hannah Negate, was 30, according to a Whittier Police Department Facebook post asking for the public’s help to find the cars.

The first vehicle is a dark-colored four-door sedan, officials said. The second vehicle is a white 2011-2015 Nissan Rogue, which may have sustained front-end damage due to the collision. Anyone with information about either vehicle is asked to contact the Whittier Police Department at 562-567-9261.

Lt. Sam Reed said Saturday there were no updates in the investigation, but asked Whittier residents to continue looking for the two vehicles.
