Three people, including a child, were killed in a shooting at an Auburn home on the 2100 block of 66th Street Southeast on the night of Tuesday, Jan. 4.

It appears to be a murder-suicide, according to the Auburn Police Department. However, police are still investigating the incident. There is no suspect at large and no threat to the public, according to the Auburn Police Department.

At around 7 p.m. Tuesday, police were dispatched to the house. When they arrived, they discovered three people dead inside: a 41-year-old man, a 41-year-old-woman and a 10-year-old child, according to the Auburn Police Department.

Another 12-year-old child was able to escape from the house safely when the shooting began and made it to a neighbor’s house, where 911 was called. The child is safely housed and police are in contact with Child Protective Services, according to the Auburn Police Department.
