Darrin Lamar Patton was the shooter behind the killings of Derika Shanice McGhee and Aiden Carter Williams.
After gunning his girlfriend and son to death, he committed suicide. Police arrived at the crime scene in the Hinton Place subdivision on the 9700 block of Charolais Drive at around 3 a.m. on 6 January 2022 for a well-fare check.
The testimonials of several witnesses, who were inside the house before the officers’ arrival, led the police to learn that a domestic argument might have happened between the couple. As per the observers, Darrin was with McGhee and her son at the time of the incident.
