  1. In an attempt to jump the line for Saturday’s free outside concert featuring Doja Cat, a man announced to others that he had an explosive device. According to Indianapolis police, the man made the bomb threat as the concertgoers tried to enter the concert area in Monument Square. The man was placed into custody and police continue to investigate; however, officials report that there was no bomb or no threat to the community. (New York Post)
  2. After an Indianapolis apartment complex lost power Thursday into Friday, the Indiana Region of the American Red Cross opened a shelter for affected residents. Though the cause of the outage was discovered Friday afternoon, power had not been restored for 15 units due to the current state of the breakers. To help, the Red Cross provided feeding, health services, and mental health services to displaced residents at the shelter. (WISHTV.com)
  3. A spike in COVID cases among staff members has forced the Marion County court system to pause all jury trials for the next two weeks. This move takes place as prosecutors are struggling to work through a huge backlog of criminal cases, leaving many residents frustrated and exhausted. (Fox 59)
