CLEVELAND, Ohio β€” A 37-year-old Canton man has pleaded guilty to a criminal charge connected to a sex-trafficking ring operated from a home provided by his father, authorities say.

U.S. Attorney Bridget M. Brennan says in a news release that Larrien Brown-Austin, 37 entered his guilty plea last week in federal court to participating in a sex-trafficking conspiracy that forced multiple women to perform sex acts for profit.

Court documents show that from June through August 2018, Brown-Austin lived at a residence in Canton provided by his father. In June 2018, Brown-Austin forced two victims to live at the residence, perform sex acts for money and give him the profits, records show.

Brown-Austin is accused of giving the victims drugs to create an addiction and withdrawal dependency that forced them to rely upon him for more drugs, prosecutors say. Brown-Austin also is accused of using force, threats, and acts of violence to coerce the victims into performing sex acts. He kept a mobile tracking application on the cell phones of his victims in order to determine their whereabouts at all times, prosecutors say.

Also charged as co-defendants are Shannon Marzano, 30, and Larry Brown-Austin, 76, both of Canton. Marazano and Larry Brown-Austin both previously pleaded guilty to their roles in the scheme. Larrien Brown-Austin is scheduled to be sentenced on May 11.
