FENTON, Mo. (AP) — Authorities believe a suburban St. Louis man killed his wife before fatally shooting himself.
Jefferson Count Sheriff Dave Marshak on Tuesday identified the victims as 47-year-old Kirstin Gentemann and her 57-year-old husband, Steven Gentemann. Their bodies were discovered Monday inside a home near Fenton.
Marshak said in a news release that two juveniles were inside the home but ran out just prior to the shooting and were unharmed. Marshak did not disclose a potential motive but said there was no apparent history of domestic violence.
Marshak said Kirstin Gentemann was shot several times. Steven Gentemann died of a single gunshot wound.
