A young mother with her two young children fell to her death from the roof of a 10-story apartment building, killing all three.
Iulia Bogdan, 33, a psychology graduate, divorced her childβs father, but the couple have reconciled and plan to remarry.
But on Tuesday morning, she left home to take her two children to kindergarten, but parked in front of an apartment building and took the children to the roof, local media reported.
Authorities are treating their death in Timisoara in western Romania as a murder-suicide.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and found the mother and her three-year-old son dead.
Yuliaβs six-year-old daughter was alive but later died in hospital.
Police said the mother suffered from depression and was talking to her family.
A few weeks ago, she urged her Facebook friends to βspread the love because the earth is full of pain and sufferingβ.
Yulia reportedly plans to remarry her ex-husband Alex, who works in Austria, later this year.
Investigators later learned they were to remarry on April 28. It is unclear why they did not remarry, Stirile Kanal D reports.
The family has expressed concern about the influence of the ex-boyfriend on the mother.
Investigators examined the building to see how the mother gained access to the roof, as residents say the metal doors are usually locked. Witnesses said they saw Iula inspect the building a few days earlier.
Meanwhile, the childrenβs father has travelled to Romania after learning of her death.
The investigation continues.
