Travellers looking to escape the rat race for an off-grid getaway can now stay in an incredible farm-style tiny house that runs solely on solar and rain water.

Bayside Glamping’s tiny house in Marion Bay, an idyllic seaside town on the Yorke Peninsula three hour’s drive from Adelaide in South Australia, offers the ultimate relaxation for guests to connect back with nature.

The rural property with stunning views from every window features a loft-style bed that’s accessed via a ladder, a luxurious bathroom with a composting toilet and a breakfast bar overlooking the natural surroundings.

Creating a bright and tranquil getaway in a secluded setting, owner Tiffany Falzon and her dad spent a year building the ultimate holiday home from scratch using recycled materials like wooden pallets, timber and an old corrugated tin roof.

Guests can stay for a night or two without any Wi-Fi, technology or stress; the tiny house is listed as a unique accommodation option on Airbnb from $261.43 per night.

‘My amazing dad and I have created a totally unique space, basing the design off our family home, and doing dad’s speciality of using as much reclaimed materials as we could,’ owner Tiffany said.

‘The interior styling has taken on a “farmyard chic” vibe that reflects the rural setting, and materials that we’ve used. This space is fully constructed from pallets and other reclaimed timber, with the unique edition of Lysaght tin off my boyfriend’s family’s old roof – seriously this tin is like a good wine, it gets better with age.

‘The hut has uninterrupted views of the gorgeous grasslands, and is the perfect spot out of the elements to cosy up with a book, or even better yet; enjoy a cheese platter and glass (or bottle) of wine, while watching the spectacular sunsets.’
