‘Packing a Punch,’ Hurricane Sally Makes Landfall in Alabama

Hurricane Sally made landfall as a Category 2 storm in Alabama in the early morning of September 16, packing maximum steady winds of 100 mph, reports said. The National Hurricane Center said “historic and catastrophic flooding” was likely in parts of northwest Florida and southern Alabama. This footage shows the winds “packing a punch,” the source Jacob Chaffin said, early on Wednesday morning in Orange Beach. Gov Kay Ivey closed all Alabama beaches on Tuesday ahead of the storm.
