Police have issued an amber alert as they desperately search for a three-year-old girl they say may be “at significant risk”, who was taken from Brisbane’s southside by a 33-year-old man.
The pair were reported missing from Beenleigh on Sunday afternoon, after the man did not return the girl to the address as planned.
They were last spotted at 3.40pm when they left a Lehville St address on foot.
They have not been seen or heard from since, sparking concerns among the pair’s family and police due to a “medical condition”. Police would not say who has the medical issue.
The man is described as caucasian, 178cm, brown hair, blue eyes, with a proportional build.
The child is also caucasian, 180cm tall, brown hair, blue eyes, and a small build. She was last seen wearing a bright green shirt and blue shorts.
Anyone who has seen either the man or young girl is urged to contact police.
You’ve probably heard of the phrase ‘amber alert’ before. But how exactly does it work?
