Scientists have created 3D images of a Royal Navy battleship which fought during World War One and was sunk by Germany in 1939 using millions of sonar ‘pings’.  HMS Royal Oak was torpedoed by the German submarine U-47 at Scapa Flow in Orkney, Scotland in October 1939, leading to the deaths of 835 men and boys.
