Police have released new footage in a bid to track down the person who shot a senior figure in one of Sydney‘s most notorious street gangs.
New security footage could hold the key to tracking down the person who shot a senior underworld figure last year, leaving him fighting for life.
Samer Marcus, a senior member of Assyrian crime gang DLASTHR, was critically injured after he was shot multiple times in his chest, face and back at close range on Campbelltown Road, Denham Court, on November 6.
It is understood Marcus is still in hospital undergoing treatment.
The 45-year-old’s partner was home at the time of the attack.
Police are still investigating why the gangland figure was targeted and have released new CCTV vision of a black 2015 BMW M4 seen in the area at the time of the shooting.
Investigators are appealing for anyone in the community with information about the vehicle’s movements or occupants to come forward.
Police are also urging anyone who may have dashcam footage from Campbelltown Road or surrounding streets between 6.30pm and 9.30pm on November 6 to phone authorities.
It was the second time the DLASTHR (The Last Hour) gang member was shot last year.
The first was in June when he had a bullet in his head for three days before he took himself to hospital.
