Western Australia Police hunt for man who tied a woman up and beat her during a robbery in Wannanup

Have you seen this man? Hunt for hooded-intruder who ‘tied a young woman to a bed and bashed her’ after she caught him ‘robbing her home’

  • The man allegedly broke into the woman’s Wannanup home at 8am on October 7
  • He allegedly punched the woman in her 20s repeatedly before tying her to a bed 
  • The man is described as in his early 30s with olive skin and a muscular build 

A hunt is under way for a robber who allegedly tied a young woman up and assaulted her after breaking into her home.

The man allegedly broke into the woman’s house in Wannanup, 87km south-west of Perth, on October 7.

He allegedly scoured the home for the woman before punching her repeatedly and tying her to the bed before stealing her belongings.

The woman, in her 20s, was left with minor injuries following the home invasion.

The man is described as being in his early 30s with olive skin and a muscular build.

He also has short brown hair that is slightly ginger, a scraggly beard and is 180cm tall.

The man was wearing a black hoodie, grey sweatpants, black sneakers and motorcycle gloves during the alleged offence.

Police have released an image of a man who may be able to help with their investigation. 

Mandurah detectives also wish to speak with the driver of a black Holden Commodore ute, which is either a VZ or VY model.

The car had a loud exhaust that was heard several times in the street at 7.30am.
